I love teaching and am starting my 39th year with 38 years in the Healdton district. It is wonderful to be able to work in such a positive, educational environment! We are very fortunate to have a wonderful, caring high school faculty and administration.
I attended Healdton Schools from the 7th grade until graduation. I then attended the University of Oklahoma obtaining my degree in Special Education and Regular Education in 1975. I then completed another degree in Speech/Language Pathology. I have taught all levels of Special Education in my teaching career but love teaching in the high school. I have been the Special Education Director for the past several years. I have enjoyed being a Student Council Advisor and also either Junior or Senior Advisor every year I have taught in high school. My husband, Neal, is a petroleum engineer for TriPower Resources in Ardmore. We have two children that both attended Healdton Schools grades K-12: Neala Shepherd and Cullen Hill. Neala, her husband, Bryan, and their two children, Camden, 9, and Braxton ,3, live in Sterling, CO. Our son, Cullen, resides in Healdton.
I enjoy working with kids, attending sporting events, and working on the computer. Neal and I proudly serve on the Board of Directors of women's basketball at OU.
I feel very fortunate to work with a wonderful administration, staff, and students at HHS.
